Design your own saree

Too many weddings and you don’t want to repeat your outfits and don’t want to spend a fortune on a designer outfit? There are many ways you can design your own saree and stand out between your friends. We have listed a few easy and not very expensive ways to design your own saree or even revamp your mum’s or grandmother’s saree.

Add a Border/Lace –

You can get a plain saree in any solid colour, all you have to do is add a nice and heavy border. There are so many options available in the market today, so depending on your style, you can either go in for a contrast border or if you don’t experiment too much with your style you could simply go in for a gold or silver border. You can also add a cutwork lace, moti border etc. You can add the same border to the sleeves of your blouse too or you can get a designer blouse stitched.

Change the blouse-

If you love a certain saree too much and want to wear it again, why don’t you try changing the blouse with it? You can wear brocade or even a banarasi silk blouse in matching or contrasting colours.  Today, there are even a variety of unstitched & stitched(ready-made) blouses available in the market.

Sequins-

Any plain saree can be jazzed up just by adding a sequins border to it or you can even opt for a sequins blouse with a plain saree. A sequins blouse in basic colours such as black, gold and silver are a must have for all the girls as they can be paired up with multiple outfits. Since crop tops and skirts are so in right now, you can even pair up a skirt with these blouses.

You can easily design your own saree using the above methods and that too within budget! You can even mix and match pieces of clothing in your wardrobe to create new and different looks to make heads turn at every wedding you attend this season!!
